Stage 1 Program - Habitats

This excursion offers something for every learning style. Children investigate a variety of habitats and learn how those environments provide for the needs of our native animals.

Children partake in hands on activities to discover who lives above and below the waterline at Narrabeen Lagoon, including dip netting and bird watching.

Children explore how different adaptations in birds are linked to their behaviour and survival through a fun investigation.

A bushwalk has our mini explorers looking for signs of life.

Habitat games lead the more kinesthetic learners to a deeper understanding of environmental issues.

Eco art focusing on mini beasts and shelter building allows the children’s creativity to shine through.
