Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is a pride parade and festival running annually in Sydney from the second Thursday in February until the first Saturday in March. Starting in 1978 as a small protest for gay rights, it is now one of the largest LGBTQ+ festivals globally, with numerous celebrations and events held across Sydney. To find out more visit Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

Pride Month is celebrated annually in June, dedicated to celebrating and commemorating LGBTQ+ pride, history, and communities.

Join in the celebrations across both Mardi Gras and Pride month locally with community events, family fun, art and more or find out more info on LGBTQ+ festivals and events across NSW here.
