The Solar Alliance is excited to invite local businesses and residents to the next Powerhouse Drinks; our end-of-year celebration and Christmas party on December 12th at Colormaker Industries.

As Brookvale continues its journey to become a hub for Urban Renewable Energy, Powerhouse Brookvale events bring together community leaders, Solar Champions, and Solar Ambassadors for an evening of networking, inspiration, and clean energy insights.

This month’s speakers include:

  • Chris Lee, a key driver of Powerhouse Brookvale, sharing the vision of a Brookvale powered by locally generated and stored clean energy. Chris will discuss the progress made since the Solar Alliance’s 2022 launch and the path forward, including the role of battery storage and two-way tariffs in realizing this vision.
  • Peter MacGregor from Hardware & General (H&G), who has led the installation of solar PV across 10 H&G roofs, making it Brookvale’s largest combined solar system. Peter will share H&G’s journey, highlighting the significant reduction in operational costs these systems have achieved and inspiring other local businesses to consider solar.
  • John Dumay, co-founder of Dad & Dave’s Brewing, who will discuss the decision to go solar and its impact on operational costs. His story demonstrates how sustainability and business success can go hand in hand. Following the presentations, there will be time for informal chats, questions, and Christmas cheer.

Join us for a night of festive celebration, local success stories, and clean energy insights that will empower Brookvale’s businesses and residents alike.

The event is free but spaces are limited — register now to join this exciting evening of inspiration and connection.
