Northern Beaches residents with a valid Beach Parking Permit enjoy free parking at more than 40 paid parking areas at beaches and reserves across the area.
With current permits due to expire at the end of the month, it’s time to take your old sticker off your car windscreen and affix and display your new one. All new permits need to be displayed from Sunday 1 September.
To ensure the permit is not damaged when removing it from the paper in your rates notice, follow these 3 easy steps:
- Peel from the ‘conditions of use side’
- Fold paper along the permits long edge
- Peel slowly from with corner of the folded edge.
A reminder too that even with a valid permit, there are time limits in some of our car parks: namely Shelly Beach, Collaroy Beach and Pittwater Park (south). And there is also a 4 hour limit Manly Beachfront, including North and South Steyne and Queenscliff.
Be sure to check the signs before leaving your vehicle, so you don’t get stuck with a fine.
Local residents including tenants may also be able to buy up to 2 additional permits. You can apply online, submit proof of residency and find out costs at our parking permit page.
All replacement permits, including those for damaged permits, broken windscreens, or for new vehicles, require the return of the current parking permit before we can issue a new one.
