Are you an artist looking for a unique opportunity to develop your next project, showcase your work and connect with local creatives?

If so, applications are now open for Northern Beaches Council’s artist in residence program for 2024.

Council and Eramboo are offering an opportunity for mid-career artists from a broad range of disciplines to develop a new body of work, or site-responsive creative project.

Surrounded by the inspirational bushland of Ku-ring-gai National Park, you could work in your own non-residential studio space at the Eramboo Artist Environment in Terry Hills for up to six months.

With a $3,000 allowance for materials, you'll have the opportunity to further develop your practice, provide mentorship and engage with the local creative community.

Applications close Monday 23 October, 3pm. If selected, residency begins in February 2024 and ends in July 2024.

At the end of the residency, the selected artist has the opportunity to present his or her work at a special exhibition.

To find out more about the program and how to apply, visit Council’s website or contact the Arts and Culture team at creative@northernbeaches.nsw.gov.au

Don't miss this chance to be part of a vibrant and diverse artistic community!

And also be sure not to miss the upcoming exhibition of the current artist in residence Bronte Cormican-Jones at Eramboo Artist Environment in Terrey Hills from Saturday 25 November to Sunday 3 December.

Bronte is an emerging Sydney-based artist and writer, exploring and expanding the field of spatial practice through her use of sculptural and architectural installations.

Bronte creates body-scale installations, and in this exhibition of her work while at Eramboo, glass and mirror assemblages, freestanding sculptures, photography and outdoor sculpture converge to create an immersive environment.
