The winners of the ARTDECKO Skatedeck Art Exhibition 2018 were announced over the weekend.

The most popular male skateboard deck artist was Hugo Mortimer from Terrey Hills and Nina Korgul from Clontarf bagged the award for best female skateboard deck artist.

Both winners received skateboard decks with their prints on them, courtesy of Skater HQ and Northern Beaches Council. Congratulations to you both!

Almost 200 skateboard decks designed by local young people and guest artists were on display last week (18- 22 April) at the Northern Beaches PCYC in Dee Why.

The exhibition, the fifth of its kind, was hosted by Northern Beaches Council and was held in conjunction with National Youth Week.

Skateboard deck art is more popular than ever with an increasing number of people designing and painting their own boards as a means of creative expression.

The number of skate desks displayed this year was double the previous year.
