It's Local Government Week (31 July – 6 August). To celebrate, we're releasing one story each day this week to shed light on some of our incredible staff and their work within Northern Beaches Council.

While many may associate local government with essential services like garbage collection and road maintenance, you may be surprised that we offer more than 40 careers.

We are the largest employer on the Northern Beaches, with some 1800+ staff employed to serve the community. Our teams work across libraries, art galleries and spaces, Glen Street Theatre, aquatic centres, child care centres, sportsfields and playgrounds, bushland and waterways, floods and stormwater systems, roads maintenance, Meals on Wheels and other valued community services, beach patrols, ocean pool cleaning, major events, several professional services and many more.
