Brookvale business, Colormaker Industries has demonstrated they’re going ‘above and beyond’ in sustainability by recently taking out the Northern Beaches Local Business Sustainability Award.
The award recognises businesses that are actively pursuing sustainable practices, embedding them into their business planning, operations and marketing.
We spoke to David Stuart from Colormaker Industries to find out more about their sustainable journey.
What measures is your business taking to reduce your impact on the planet?
We have undertaken a raft of sustainability actions, including reducing our environmental impact by focusing on developing solvent free and water-based technologies.
We are also investing in research and development to eliminate harmful chemicals from all of our products.
Other measures include using rPET packaging sourced from post-consumer waste plastic drink bottles and recycling our paper, water and metals. We have also embraced the use of electric vehicles (EVs) for local deliveries and staff transport.
Given your company is working towards net zero by 2025, what else do you have in the pipeline?
The next step in our sustainability journey is commissioning our large battery to store more of our solar power, completing a carbon audit, and acquiring a bigger EV with greater range to do more of our Sydney metro deliveries.
Congratulations to Colormaker! Find out more about the winners of the Business Sustainability Award.
