Many of our facilities remain open for your enjoyment over the holiday period, including our wonderful aquatic centres and libraries.   

Operating hours may be different, so please check the details below before you visit.

Customer Service Centres

Our Dee Why customer service centre will close at 5pm on Friday 22 December and reopen again at 8.30am on Wednesday 27 December. 

Manly and Mona Vale customer service centres will close at 5pm on Friday 22 December and reopen at 8.30am on Tuesday 2 January 2024.

Our after-hours service will be available at all other times for emergencies. 

Library Services 

Northern Beaches Libraries will be closed or operating with reduced hours from Monday 25 December to Tuesday 2 January.

Manly, Mona Vale and Warringah Mall libraries will operate on reduced hours between Wednesday 27 – Sunday 31 December.

Forestville 24/7 access is available for registered members.

Return chutes will remain open at all branch libraries throughout the holiday closure period. 

All libraries will resume normal opening hours from Tuesday 2 January 2024.

Swimming Pools

Warringah Aquatic Centre and Manly Andrew 'Boy Charlton' Aquatic Centre will remain open over the holiday period, except for Christmas Day, Monday 25 December. For operating hours please visit our website.

Glen Street Theatre

The theatre will be closed from 4pm on Friday 22 December and will resume trading from Tuesday 2 January.

Manly Art Gallery & Museum

Manly Art Gallery & Museum will be open 10am­ to 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday during the festive season. The gallery is closed Mondays and Public Holidays. 

Beach Patrols

Council’s beaches will be patrolled from 9am to 6pm (daylight saving hours) and some for longer periods until 7pm. They are patrolled by a combination of Council lifeguards and volunteer surf lifesavers. Find out more

Hop, Skip & Jump Bus

The Hop, Skip & Jump service will not operate on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day, but will operate on a normal timetable all other days.

Manly Visitor Information Centre

The Centre will be closed on Christmas Day. It will be open 12pm - 4pm on Boxing Day and New Years Day, but will operate on a normal timetable all other days (Monday - Sunday, 10am - 4pm).
