Northern Beaches Council is preparing to open the entrance of Narrabeen Lagoon today.

The lagoon is normally opened when levels are between 1m and 1.3m above sea level to reduce the risk of flooding. Following heavy rainfall over the weekend, the lagoon is now at the trigger level, and heavy machinery is being moved to the entrance to open the lagoon.
