A vibrant arts, culture and creative environment enriches life and our community on the Northern Beaches.

Northern Beaches Council this week adopted a policy which sets out its commitment to fostering the unique creative ecosystem on the Northern Beaches.

Council’s Cultural Policy was developed based on community feedback as well as on relevant policies and strategies from Local, State and Federal government agencies. The principles of the UNESCO Universal Declaration of Cultural Diversity were also taken into account.

It provides a clear statement about how Council intends to develop local arts, culture and creativity, unique to the Northern Beaches.

The Policy acknowledges the importance of the creative sector in contributing to a vibrant future on the Northern Beaches.

Thriving arts and creativity in diverse and inclusive communities is very important and can often produce ideas and concepts that allow us to meet challenges now and into the future.
