Collaroy Tennis Club has been recognised as the Most Outstanding Tennis Club in Australia at the 2022 Australian Tennis Club Awards.
The Australian Tennis Awards and the Newcombe medal are the pinnacle of recognition by the sport to celebrate major achievements in Australian tennis
The national honour came as the club’s management and members were congratulated for engendering strong community spirit on the Northern Beaches and acting as champions of diversity and inclusion for the sport.
The club provides quality tailored programs managed by the Evolve Tennis Academy, who offer a diverse range of experienced coaches providing quality training, that services toddlers in the Pee Wee Minis from two years of age, all the way through to Seniors and Wheelchair Tennis Players. Collaroy Tennis Club also provides court hiring facilities to members of the public, no matter what level of tennis they play.
Northern Beaches Council congratulates President Vito Cincinnato and the club for their excellent achievement and fostering a culture of inclusivity and diversity.
The Club is commended for the importance they place on diversity and inclusion and the programs offered to both students from St Lucy’s and people taking part in the Sargood Wheelchair programs
Our sincere congratulations go to the club for its continued involvement as part of our Northern Beaches Community.
Collaroy Tennis Centre was established in 1922. It offers five synthetic grass courts and one wheelchair accessible hardcourt, all with lights. The club was proud to have marked 100 years of service to the Northern Beaches sporting community in 2022.
The courts are located in idyllic park-like surrounds at Griffith Park, on Pittwater Road, close to Long Reef Golf Course.
