North Narrabeen Reserve is a popular space for play and recreation for many sporting clubs and local families.
We’ve unveiled a proposed new plan to make the sports fields and facilities and open spaces even better and we invite you to have your say.
The draft North Narrabeen Reserve Plan of Management proposes many improvements, including an all-weather synthetic sportsfield (subject to environmental assessment), upgrade of field 7 to a senior size lit field, new lighting for the baseball diamonds on field 5, a play and recreation space for children and young people, plus new and improved accessible amenities.
We are also planning upgrades to other fields, improvements at the Rugby Park (Rat Park), extra tree plantings, landscaping, improvements to roadways, parking and shared paths, and safety improvements at the golf centre.
The draft plan follows extensive community consultation about current and future uses of the reserve.
Proposed works will be undertaken over several years and are dependent on funding, environmental assessments and planning approvals.
North Narrabeen Reserve has a long sporting history and association with many sports including AFL, summer soccer, baseball, touch football and rugby union. It’s also used for school sport and is home to the popular Friday markets.
With new improvements in store, the space will be even better – so check out our draft plan and have your say by Sunday 23 June 2024.
