Experts say that to truly understand the natural world you need to experience it.

So, we’re excited to announce that bookings for our 2023 high school field trips are now open.

Our team is made up of highly experienced educators equipped with up-to-date knowledge and resources. All Year 7 to 9 programs are also linked to either the Science or Geography curriculum.

Students can investigate coastal landscapes, learn about rock platform ecology, the dynamics of sand dunes, carry out a microplastics survey and much more!

This is just a snapshot of ways that we deliver Stages 4 to 6 of the curriculum to students across the Sydney region.

Research shows that fieldtrips beat classroom learning. They provide a more effective learning experience and are a great way for students to connect with the natural environment, understand how it is changing and meet curriculum outcomes.

That’s why our Environment Centre educators are keen to share our glorious environment with local students and those from further afield.

By all accounts teachers are big fans of the fieldtrips too! Here’s what some of our local high school teachers had to say:

“An excellent program. The three staff from the Environment Centre were exceptional in their professionalism and expertise.”

“I just wanted to say a big thank you for delivering such an organised, educational and fun experience for our students.”

Both the students and staff loved the experience. I was chatting with one student and she was blown away by how much life was on the rock platform.”
