Wyatt Avenue Belrose is now home to the Northern Beaches’ newest mountain bike park.

Designed and built by Council’s own landscape and construction team with support from local mountain biking advocacy and consultancy group Trail Care, Wyatt Avenue Bike Park caters specifically to kids and riders that are new to mountain biking.

The goal is to help new riders build confidence and perfect their skills before progressing to more advanced bike parks such as the nearby Bare Creek or trails such as those at Manly Dam.

Rideable elements of the new bike park include:

  • A junior/beginner bike trail loop
  • Climb and descent sections
  • Various technical features
  • ‘Gravity zone’ features
  • A bike launching area

Parents and tired riders have also been considered and will love the viewing platform, seating, picnic area, and grassed sections that are a great place to relax, chat, and take in all that the park has to offer.

Opening Event

The park was officially opened on Monday 30 January by Michael Regan, Mayor Northern Beaches, Jonathan O’Dea, Member for Davidson, and James Hall of Trail Care.

After a few words from the speakers and the unveiling of the bike park plaque, members of the Trail Care team, their friends and children became the park’s first official riders as they hit the trails and showed off their skills.

Special Thanks

Special thanks to Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea, who was instrumental in securing the site and advocating for the project from its inception.

Thanks also to Matt Ward from Trail Care, who’s hard work and consultation with the local community and skills coaches produced the final bike park designs.
