Spring is just around the corner, and it’s the perfect opportunity to give the Northern Beaches a spruce up.
Council teams will be out in full force sweeping and pressure cleaning, painting, gardening and doing general maintenance to freshen up town centres.
This year we’re inviting local businesses to join us in making our town centres and villages shine with a ‘Spring Spruce Up’.
How businesses can get involved
Join in by sprucing up your shop front in preparation for spring. Every effort, no matter how small, helps create more welcoming and vibrant spaces for our community.
And a well-maintained shop front doesn’t just look great - it attracts more foot traffic and boosts sales. Simple updates like a fresh coat of paint, new signage, clean windows and tidy entrances can boost street appeal and increase sales, and helps builds pride within our communities.
Mae at Freshwater House who sells homewares and gifts told us how she’s giving her shop a spruce up:
“I am getting ready for spring by creating a spring theme in my new window display and giving the whole shop a new look!"
Participating businesses will be featured on our website, with a link to your website or social media channels. We also encourage you to share your before-and-after photos and spring-cleaning tips on social media—and don’t forget to tag us @beachescouncil on Instagram and Facebook.
Register your Spring Spruce Up by Sunday 30 August.
Let’s work together to make the Northern Beaches an even better place to work, live and visit.
