Recent changes to parking times along Wentworth Street and South Steyne in Manly, which were recently adjusted to align with 2-hour parking limits between 7 am to 10 pm in nearby areas, have been reversed. 

Unfortunately, due to a miscommunication, Council did not adequately consult with the Chamber of Commerce before the Local Traffic Committee decided to introduce the changes. 

We apologise for the miscommunication and confusion caused to all involved. Council is now reviewing the proposed changes, benefits, and implications in close consultation with the Chamber of Commerce. 

Original timed parking signage along Wentworth Street and South Steyne will be reinstated in coming days.

Loading zone changes

Changes to loading zones restrictions that will remain with the support of the Chamber of Commerce include:  

• Extending the existing Monday to Saturday, 6 am to 9 pm, loading lone outside No’s 17-23 Wentworth Street to everyday
• introducing a 30-minute timed parking restriction applying between 6 am to 10 pm everyday, in existing 6 am to 6 pm loading zone spaces in Market Place and Wentworth Street.
