Northern Beaches Council is celebrating the vital role carers play in our community and invites them to take time out, connect and relax by joining in a range of fun and free activities this October.
Mayor Michael Regan said carers make an enormous contribution to the social fabric and economy of our community.
“Carers really are the unsung heroes of the Northern Beaches.
“In celebration of National Carers Week we want to take the time to engage and support carers and to show our thanks for the work that they do,” Mayor Regan said.
If carers across Australia stopped performing their roles, it would cost more than $1 billion per week to replace them.
