This year’s Sun Run presented by Bioglan being held on Saturday 1 February 2025 has sold out with a record breaking 10,000 entrants – a first in the event’s history.

From Dee Why to Manly Beach, participants will complete either the 10km or 7km course along the picturesque coast taking in views of Curl Curl, Freshwater and Queenscliff beaches along the way.

Northern Beaches Mayor Sue Heins said the event has surpassed our expectations.

“This is the first major event on the year's running calendar and has exceeded our expectations with 10,000 people taking part. That’s up 3,000 more on last year, which was an event record in itself.

“So many of us on the Northern Beaches love our healthy and active lifestyle. It's one of the many things that makes living here so great. Clearly everyone else agrees too!”

“I look forward to starting the event and hearing about more record-breaking achievements on the day.” Mayor Heins said.

To date $55,000 has been raised for charity across Australia, well on the way to the $100,000 goal. You can still donate.

Sun Run is produced by Northern Beaches Council and supported by Event Partners – Bioglan, The Athlete’s Foot, Muscle Republic, Harbord Diggers, Harris Farm Markets and Remedy Sodaly.

Those who missed out on entering are encouraged to come along and cheer on participants along the course or at the finish line.
