Northern Beaches Council has completed renewal works at Taylors Point Wharf that includes a new pontoon to improve access.
The refurbished Taylors Point Wharf and pontoon renewal works also features an access ramp replacing the old tidal stairs and providing deeper water access for boats.
Northern Beaches Council Mayor, Sue Heins said that the addition of the pontoon ensured a safer and more convenient way for people of all ages and abilities to access boats, particularly during changing tide conditions.
“The community feedback we received was instrumental in shaping the design, and we are proud to have delivered not only a renewed wharf but an improved facility on time and within budget.
“These enhancements make Taylors Point Wharf a more welcoming and reliable asset for our community to enjoy for years to come," Mayor Heins said.
Taylors Point Wharf refurbishment was required to bring the old structure back to a useable condition and comply with Australian Standards for marine infrastructure. For more information, please visit Your Say Northern Beaches.
