Council adopted our Protect. Create. Live – Northern Beaches Environment and Climate Change Strategy 2040 in 2019. With our new dashboard you can see how we're tracking against the commitments set out in our Strategy.

The dashboard is interactive and allows you to compare data based on different timeframes and locations on the Northern Beaches including:

•          how Council and the community are tracking towards net zero

•          annual water consumption for Council and the community

•          solar installations for Council and the community

•          number of trees planted over the past year, and

•          the health of our water ways.

This is just the start! We currently source data from Beachwatch, Kinesis, Australian PV Institute (APVI), the Bureau of Meteorology, and state government agencies, along with our own reporting and will add more data to track our progress as it becomes available.

Want to help your suburb shine on the dashboard for all the right reasons?

Our ‘Charge Ahead’ program offers many resources on our solar and energy web pages or you can get independent expert advice to reduce your energy bill with one of our energy and solar experts. They can provide advice on improving your energy efficiency, installing solar (including solar for strata), solar batteries, electrification and EV charging.

Available every Monday from 5-7pm and Tuesday from 9-11am (except public holidays). Book here to start saving on your bills and reduce your emissions!

Don’t forget you can also book in for a Solar Conversation with our trained Council staff – especially helpful for residential solar.
