Do you know someone who deserves acknowledgment for outstanding environmental and conservation efforts to protect the Northern Beaches?

Many of us would agree that we live in one of the most beautiful parts of the world and want it to stay that way - and with the community’s help, it’s possible.

We’re seeking nominations from the community and environmental groups who have volunteered their time to enhance and preserve the region’s diverse and valuable natural environment.

If you know someone who deserves recognition, please nominate them by Friday 23 September.

Last year Phil Colman took out the Individual Lifetime Achievement Award for his lifelong work on the preservation of coastal environments, in particular his work at Long Reef. Phil’s association with Long Reef is a passionate story of achievement and throughout his life he has actively championed measures to protect the area.

Stephanie Evans was the winner of the Youth Individual Achievement Award. She is the 18-year-old founder of the organisation, “Seas of Change.” Steph and her team run school talks, fundraisers and events, with their main focus on empowering young people to take a stand for their environment.

You can nominate your eco hero in the following award categories:

  • Caring for Bushland
  • Caring for our Coast
  • Caring for our Waterways
  • Caring for our Native Animals
  • Sustainable Resources Award
  • Sustainability & Climate Change Award

Individual Achievement Awards will be presented in two categories: Youth and Lifetime.
