We have elected a new Council which means it’s time to review the vision, aspirations and goals for our area.
Contained in the Northern Beaches Community Strategic Plan 2040 and last reviewed in 2021, the vision, aspirations and goals guide the development of Council plans, policies and budget. In a nutshell they inform what we do and how we do it.
This plan belongs to our community which is why we’d like as much feedback as possible as we start drafting the next iteration.
We’ve created a survey which will take you less than 10 minutes to complete. It guides you through the vision and priorities and asks you to let us know if you’d like to see any changes or improvements. Do you think the goals for the local environment, housing, community, transport, arts and local economy are still relevant and reflect the direction we should be heading?
All the feedback collected will inform the new plan which will be put on public exhibition in the first half of next year for further community input.
If you’d like to dig a little deeper, Council’s comprehensive State of Our Region 2021-2024 (available on the same page as the survey) details the progress made against the Community Strategic Plan 2040.
The report found that almost all of the measures in the Community Strategic Plan are trending in the right direction, with 87% on track and the majority of those off track delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
