In recent years, Council has continually received a low number of submissions for public hospitality tenders due to the time-consuming requirements resulting in many applicants often unable to successfully address the criteria.

At the Council meeting this week it was agreed to adopt a new approach and use a leasing agent to enter into negotiations on Council’s behalf to find a suitable hospitality operator for this venue.

The simplified process addresses current hospitality market trends, and it is hoped will secure one or more suitable lessees for this venue sooner.

Any recommended tenant would be required to show suitable experience to operate the site, pay market rental rate for the premises and must be able to provide the requested security deposit and financial capacity to invest into the site.
