Santa can have a breather with over 2600 toys available for loan from Mona Vale and Manly libraries for local families.
The service being run by Early Education (EarlyEd) was trialled for 12 months and is now set to continue for another five years.
EarlyEd Cubby House Toy Library is a great alternative to divert unused toys from ending up in landfill and with the cost of living continually on the increase it is a great initiative to borrow quality education toys suited to a child’s age and stage of development.
The ‘click and collect’ service operates from Manly and Mona Vale Library on Thursdays with parents or carers able to borrow up to six toys at a time for a month.
Toys are categorised according to the skills children will develop so making a selection of the right toy is simple.
To find out more about membership and browse the toy database visit the EarlyEd Cubby House Toy Library website.
EarlyEd (Early Education Inc) is a NDIS provider and non-for-profit organisation providing early childhood intervention services for children and their families.
Cubby House Toy Library is an arm of EarlyEd, offering a large range of quality educational toys, games and therapy/gross motor equipment operating out of Forestville.
Council also supports Cubby House Toy Library with ongoing accommodation at the Forestville Senior Citizens Centre. The service is made possible through the generous support of volunteers who transport the toys to and from the libraries as well as clean them.
