Hazardous surf conditions this week has damaged the timber boardwalk connecting Long Reef Beach and headland. It is currently closed to the public.

Council plans to repair the boardwalk as soon as possible with the timing dependent on the availability of the required materials. We are working on plans to completely renew the boardwalk and bridge to make it more resilient to big seas.

Walkers are advised to avoid the area and fences have been erected to ensure public safety.

Please do not walk through the golf course or trample the vegetation by walking through the dunes.
