It’s hard to believe but yes, Christmas is around the corner. Before you start worrying about crowds or late-arriving mail, check out what’s on offer at the Mona Vale Creative Pop Up.
Over the next eight weeks, the maker's shop will be showcasing more than 20 local creatives and maker groups, and their authentic Beaches-feel wares. So, get in early, support ‘local’ and buy something unique for someone special.
Launched in May this year for a brief stint before lockdown, the pop-up space is designed specifically to support local creatives, providing them with an affordable and centrally located space to sell their work and connect with new audiences.
The space is again open and features resident studio artists, including:
- Sheriden Bird (Footprnt Weaving), traditional Aboriginal weaver
- Xenia Jade (Wildflower Child Design), floristry artist
- Ashley Carlson, painter and founder of Avalon Wax candles.
Many other local favourites are joining the space in the coming weeks and will be selling handmade reclaimed leather goods, contemporary small-batch ceramics, jewellery, prints and more.
