Manly CBD and surrounds will be in tip-top shape for the warmer weather when painters, cleaners and labourers complete a serious spring clean offensive next week.

Affectionately called the Special Works and Transformation Team, or S.W.A.T, the 50-strong contingent will blitz through Manly Corso, charging through to sweep, paint, garden and pressure clean laneways and furniture.

While Council crews are out on the Corso doing this work every day, the S.W.A.T Team is an opportunity to coordinate a blitz to knock off all those little jobs that can really make a difference in one go.

Millions of visitors head to Manly in the summer months, as well as locals enjoying all Manly has to offer so it’s an opportune time to get this work done.

The S.W.A.T will begin next Monday 31 October and will finish up on Friday 4 November and will be distinguishable in hi-vis vests operating on the ground between 4am and 3pm.
