As part of Road Safety Week, 14 – 21 May, Council is asking community members to test their knowledge on e-bike safety and go in the draw to win one of five $100 gift vouchers.
The recent increase of e-bikes on the Northern Beaches has raised some important safety questions.
Test your knowledge and take this 5-minute survey now.
The survey tests safety knowledge, such as where, when and how fast you can ride a bicycle and e-bike.
Results will help us understand knowledge levels across the Northern Beaches community and will be used to help develop educational resources about the safe and legal riding of bicycles, e-bikes and e-scooters.
The survey is open until 10am Thursday 19 June 2023. All respondents will go in the draw to win prizes, with winners announced on Monday 19 June.
Council’s Local Traffic Committee is currently working with Northern Beaches Police Area Command on a safety audit of electric bike, electric scooter, electric rollerblades, electric skateboards and other bike usage, on Northern Beaches shared paths, bike paths, and footpaths.
The audit also examines how Police and Council rangers can target non-compliance with road rules.
