The Bureau of Meteorology has lifted its heavy rainfall and damaging surf and wind warnings for our area.

Our lagoons are all at normal levels; however, we are continuing to monitor Manly Lagoon in particular and will reopen the entrance if conditions require.

Coastal erosion has naturally occurred across our beaches. We will continue monitoring and, where suitable, arrange sand scraping when conditions subside.

Our crews are inspecting parks and responding to reports of fallen trees. Due to the storm's breadth, our tree contractors' are stretched, so we thank the community for being patient as we work through these jobs.

While our area was not affected as severely as some, the Northern Beaches have been declared a natural disaster area.

Stay up to date with the latest NSW warnings through the Bureau's website and BOM Weather app, and follow the advice of emergency services.

Road closures

Wakehurst Parkway and Oxford Falls Rd remain closed in both directions.  Please monitor www.livetraffic.com for state-managed roads.

Some local roads, which Council manages, have been impacted by weather conditions. Road conditions can change at short notice. Please drive according to weather conditions.
