Taylors Point Wharf now features a brand-new pontoon and ramp improving access for the community and boats users.
The community feedback on the required upgrade was integral to the new design that saw the old tidal stairs replaced with the new pontoon allowing deeper water access for boats.
The new pontoon also provides a safer and more convenient way for people of all ages and abilities to access boats, particularly during changing tide conditions.
Focusing on the feedback provided during the consultation period has seen the project deliver what was important to the community while ensuring the Council could stick to the timeline and within the budget allocation.
Taylors Point Wharf refurbishment was required to bring the old structure back to a useable condition and comply with Australian Standards for marine infrastructure. The renewal will ensure a reliable asset for the community to enjoy for years to come.
