Over 1,000 local young people have helped develop a new plan so all young people on the Northern Beaches feel empowered to participate in community life. 

The draft Youth Voice Action Plan 2028 was created with young people, for young people.

The draft plan highlights young people’s current experiences of participation across four strategic directions and provides the evidence base and actions for how Council, young people, the youth services sector and the broader community can work together to achieve positive change for young people living in the community.

It aims to create a better future for our young people, where they will have:

• Connection and resilience
• Belonging and safety
• Skills and knowledge
• For youth, by youth (young people lead and participate in decisions and processes that affect them).  

The draft action plan is now open for community feedback. Tell us if we’ve got it right before comments close on Tuesday 28 February.
