Epacris purpurasces var. purpurascens is an erect shrub that grows to 180cm high. It is found in a variety of different habitat types, often within soils with a strong shale influence. Flowers are white or pinkish, small and cover much of the branchlets.
This species is listed as Vulnerable under the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Act, 2016.
