This shrub or small tree grows from 2 to 8m high.

It produces cream to white bottlebrush type flowers in Summer, which attract birds, bees and insects.

It prefers moist soils in sun to light shade, but can tolerate wet soil, salt exposure and shade.

It can be used as a hardy, fast growing screening plant.
