Jindabyne Reserve is located in Frenchs Forest and is surrounded by residential housing.

The reserve consists primarily of a steep valley with a creek draining to the south east which forms part of the headwaters of Middle Creek draining into Narrabeen Lagoon.

The vegetation communities represented within Jindabyne Reserve include, Coachwood Rainforest, Peppermint-Angophora Forest and Bloodwood-Scribbly Gum Woodland.
