Kinka Bushland Reserve is located in the suburb of Terry Hills. The reserve is bounded by Tooronga Road on the north-east, Kinka road to the north-west and residential properties to the south.

The reserve supports the vegetation community Silvertop Ash-Brown Stringybark Forest which is a component of Duffy's Forest a Threatened Ecological Community.

This open-forest woodland contains a mix of tree species including Sydney Red Gum (Angophora costata), Red Bloodwood (Corymbia gummifera), Brown Stringybark ( Eucalyptus capitella),  Sivertop Ash (Euclayptus sieberi)  and Sribbly Gum (Euclayptus haemastoma).

The understorey contains a health mix of shrubs, herbs and grasses. In recent years the reserve has had a soil translocation done to improve the condition of vegetation surrounding the horse arena, located in the centre of the reserve.

Kinka Reserve is contains habitat and food sources for local native fauna and supports a population of Swamp Wallaby.

The reserve is considered an important stepping stone for native fauna, especially birds, moving between sections of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park,  located within 200m of the reserve.
