Seaforth Oval bushland reserve is located off Wakehurst Parkway in North Seaforth. The bushland area boarders Garigal National Park, an is a large parcel of bushland in good condition.

Vegetation

The vegetation in this reserve is Sydney Sandstone Gully Forest and remnant patches of Duffy's Forest threatened ecological community with occur near the reserve along Wakehurst Parkway. The structure of this vegetation has been heavily impacted by fire which effected most of the canopy species. Colonising shrub species dominate the structure of this bushland including Acacia longifolia, Acacia parramattensis and Cissus hyperglauca.

Fauna

Seaforth Oval bushland reserve supports important habitat for local fauna. There are many sandstone boulders and ledges that are suitable for a mix of reptiles and small mammals including, Long  Nosed Bandicoots, skinks and Red- Crowned Toadlets. The reserve also provided an important buffer between the urban fringe and adjacent Garigal National Park.
