Turimetta Headland is located in the suburb of Warriewood along Narrabeen Park Parade. It is a prominent headland vegetated primarily with heath vegetation.
Vegetation
The reserve contains Coastal Headland Heath vegetation community with the dominant species including Allocasurina distyla, Banksia integrifolia, Leptospermum laevigatum and Westringia fruticosa. The mid and understory's contain a mix of shrubs, herbs and grasses dominated by Kangaroo Grass (Themeda australis), Dusky Coral Pea (Kennedia rubicunda) and Spiny Mat Rus ( Lomandra longifolia).
Fauna
The endemic vegetation along the coastal headland provides habitat for a number of fauna species including a variety of birdlife. Thickets of heath vegetation support insectivorous birds such as the White-browed Scrub Wren and small mammals including the Long-nosed Bandicoot. Small Raptors, the Black Shouldered Kits (Elanus notatus) and the Australian Kestrel (Falco cenchroides) are often found in this area.
