Wingala Reserve is located in the suburb of North Curl Curl between Headland Road and Bushy Place.
Vegetation
This reserve contains two vegetation communities, Sydney Coastal Dry Sclerophyll Forest and Sydney Coastal Heath. A recent ecological burn through the reserve has restored that natural integrity of the bushland with an abundance of native species now growing within the reserve. Dominant species include; Corimbia gummifera, Eucalyptus haemastoma, Allocasurina distyla and Angophora hispida.
Fauna
Wingala Reserve provides habitat for local native fauna living within the urban context. The flowering shrubs and trees support several bird species and the thick coastal heath provides shelter for small mammals including possums and bandicoots.
