As part of the Celebrate Australia program, the Aboriginal Heritage Walks are an opportunity to learn about how the Gayamaygal live and have lived in this country and the unique endangered vegetation at Manly Dam and Tania Park. 

Working closely with Karen Smith from the Aboriginal Heritage Office to lead both tours, the following locations have been confirmed for 2024:

• Manly Dam, Heath Track - starting from Allambie Heights Community Tennis Club, the Heath Track features a short, loop walk with spectacular views of Manly Dam
• Tania Park to Headland - part of Manly Spit walk - starting at Tania Park, it is a short walk to the engraving site that immerses you in Sydney's Aboriginal Heritage 

Dress Code: there is a dress code due to the risks of ticks in the area. You must wear a hat, long pants, a long sleeved T-Shirt and covered in shoes with long socks to minimise the amount of skin exposed. The Events Team will also have tropical strength insect repellent that we advise applying before the walk commences. 

Each walk will commence at 9am and finish at approximately 10:30am. Finish time is a guide only and may be subject to extend based on the duration of the walk on the day.

This is a free event however, reserving your spot is essential as walking groups have a maximum capacity of 20. Please register your attendance via the below links.
