Boys creating with clay

Suitable for ages 7 - 12yrs

During this 2-hour creative workshop children will explore the ceramic exhibition, Clay on Country,  then guided by ceramic artist Claire Freer, participants will learn hand-building skills using the coil technique and explore textures, both natural and man-made, to create ceramic objects.

All materials included. 

Bring a buddy or make new pals and dive into the creative clay zone!

Note to parents / guardians: Children to bring their own refreshments and wear clothes that can get messy.

 

About Claire

Claire Freer is an artist based in Alice Springs / Mparntwe, Northern Territory. Her practice encompasses ceramic, sculpture, found object and textile processes, and is deeply informed by place, material, and practice.
