This R U OK? DAY enjoy meditation and meditative painting with Pitu Canessa.
In this workshop, you will work with a blend of mindfulness practices and watercolour painting. This session is designed to provide a safe and nurturing space for you to explore your inner world, cultivate mindfulness, and reconnect with your creativity in community.
Pitu says, "In mindful art we use creativity as a tool to bring our awareness to the present moment. This grounding practice helps to quiet the mind and to learn watercolour and drawing skills as a journey rather than focusing on a result. By being fully present in the creative process, the invitation is to find awareness of your thoughts and embark on a self-discovery journey by allowing your artistic instincts to flow freely."
The group will start with a grounding meditation and breathing, then guided by Pitu, each participant will create a unique piece of natural elements with watercolours and pencil.
All materials are included.
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring your own water/refreshments.
