Various researches show that motorcycle riders are about 34 times more likely to be injured or killed in a crash than other road users. 

October 2024 is also a Motorcycle safety awareness month and Northern Beaches Council Road safety team is organizing motorcycle safety awareness workshop  “Survive the Ride” to promote safer riding experience. 

This workshop focuses on improving riders’ safety awareness and decision-making skills, encouraging protective clothing and helping riders to enjoy riding their motorcycles. 

“Survive the Ride” workshop is presented by Dave Tynan from “Survive the Ride” Association of NSW Survive The Ride Association of NSW. One of their key messages is: “Take responsibility for your own safety”.
