The event will feature a panel discussion with Amber Rose, Sammie Walsh, Brae Fisher, and Nikki Tuckwell. Facilitated by triple j Unearthed Executive Producer, Tommy Walsh. They'll cover essential topics such as:
- Signing up with APRA AMCOS for royalties
- Setting up an ABN
- Building community both in-person and online
- Insights into different music industry career pathways
- DIY approaches to managing your music career
- Strategies for establishing and growing your music career within the Northern Beaches

AMBER ROSE
Singer-Songwriter
Northern Beaches raised singer-songwriter, Amber Rose, has been performing as a solo project since late 2020. Her music can be described as synonymously uplifting and heart-wrenching as her haunting vocals paired with soft melodies weave the perfect heart-strung ballads. Her first release containing demos, recorded and performed entirely by herself during the COVID-19 lockdown, provide an intimate insight into the artists childhood reflections. After escaping the confines of her bedroom she has released the two swooning singles "Stain" and "In Time" with her five piece band that appear regularly on stage at live shows. Since her debut show in 2020 she has sold out multiple headline shows across Sydney and appeared on festival lineups in both New South Wales and Queensland with renowned acts such as Paul Kelly, Missy Higgins and Xavier Rudd.
SAMMIE WALSH
Founder, Beehive PR
Sammie Walsh is beehive’s founder and Queen Bee.
Based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Sammie’s passions for live music and surf culture have led her to build a multi-faceted business that now covers the fields of digital marketing, social media and publicity in music, comedy, film and extreme sports.
Sammie’s background in the music industry has seen her develop valuable skills and insights in the live touring and festival space, working for major Australian entities including the Mushroom Group and Future Music, before establishing beehive as one of Australia’s premier music publicity agencies in late 2015.

With a distinctive Aussie tinge to their emotive and propulsive wares, Dear Seattle are a headbanging-with-heart punk rock band from Sydney’s Northern Beaches. One part mosh pit, and one part love letter, the band have created a truly unique and powerful style of songwriting that’s connecting with fans across Australia and the rest of the world.
Whether charming Missy Higgins herself with their 2019 triple j Like A Version of The Special Two, launching their own beer, burning up the charts and airwaves, or penning melodic, sing along anthems, Dear Seattle are a band who build unforgettable moments with charming execution.

As an unapologetic Australian music nerd, Tommy Faith’s passion for uncovering and showcasing young Australian music talent is unparalleled. As Executive Producer, he oversees all operations of the Unearthed team and is responsible for bringing major campaigns like Unearthed High, DIY Supergroup, and everything in between to life.
NIKKI TUCKWELL
APRA AMCOS
Nikki began working for APRA AMCOS more than a decade ago, after studying a Music Performance Degree at JMC Academy and gigging locally as a singer songwriter. During her time at APRA AMCOS Nikki has worked within the General Licensing Department (now OneMusic Australia) before moving into Member Services as a Writer Representative.
Nikki guest lectures at Universities, TAFEs, and specialist music courses while also providing information about APRA AMCOS on panels, podcasts and at music industry events. Nikki created and is host of the APRA AMCOS Insights webinars - a free series of informational online events aimed at illuminating various aspects of the music industry and APRA AMCOS’s connection with it. Alongside this Nikki and her team organise many of APRA AMCOS’s member events such as the Connect Sessions and Equalize.
