Sydney North is an epic urban swimrun adventure that begins at Clontarf Reserve and makes its way along the popular Spit Bridge to Manly trail, passing through National Parks, across sandy beaches, and alongside ancient Aboriginal sites and heritage gun emplacements, before arriving at one of Sydney’s most beloved beaches – Manly.

With incredible views across Sydney Harbour and Sydney’s Northern Beaches, including the Heads, Sydney Ferries and flotillas of yachts, this is a truly magnificent swimrun right in the heart of Sydney’s North Harbour.

The course has been designed to get the most out of the natural flow of the route, with longer sections that allow for exhilarating point-to-point swims and magnificent national park trail runs. The range of run surfaces and change in evaluation make this a challenging yet extremely rewarding course. One thing is for sure, you’ll know you’ve been on an adventure when you run up the soft sand to finish at Queenscliff!

You can participate solo or partner with a friend and race as a team.

The Long race also doubles as the 2024 Australian Swimrun Championship (with double Series points on offer).

For the first time, this event will also include a barefoot 2km Stroke 'N Stride race at Queenscliff, suitable for all ages and abilities.
