'Tea By The Brook' is joining in the fabulous resurgence of quality Live Music events on the Northern Beaches. Premium sound, in a cosy venue with a mix of theatre style and bar seating derived from iconic listening venues like 'The Basement' in the CBD and 'Lizottes' on the beaches.
But most of all... top class artists.
The last weekend of August (also the first of September) Evergreen Music will be hosting not one, but THREE nights of 'Tea By The Brook' gigs.
The Friday Night
Roy & The Good Boys
(Surf / Funk / Indie / Soul)
ROY is the long overdue (band) project of Northern Beaches local legend, Jimmy Breslin. Now 19 years of age Jimmy began his musical journey at 13 busking in Manly quickly making a name for himself as a local surfie grommet with a musical talent beyond his years. While he has always been in demand to play venues all over sydney as a solo cover artist, Jimmy's true passion is his original music which he has now brought to life with the help of some of Sydney's finest young musicians.
THE GOOD BOYS are an instrumental surf rock ensemble hailing from Sydney's vibrant music scene. Known for their reverb-drenched guitar sounds and eerie/energetic performances, The Good Boys have become a staple in the surf music genre, evoking the spirit of classic surf rock while infusing their own modern twist. Their three studio albums blend traditional surf rock elements with contemporary influences and impeccible musicianship. Shrouded in mystery (and robes) The Good Boys are an unforgettable feast for the ears. 'Definitely a fresh sound from these Aussies - dreamy and jazzy, maybe even a little proggy, but definitely surf.' - Storm Surge of Reverb
THE SATURDAY NIGHT
Duncan Toombes feat. Lozz Benson & Charley Castle
(Country / Singer-Songwriter)
Singer-songwriter, musician, and award-winning video director Duncan Toombs has worked with all of the biggest names in Australian Country Music and has been an unsung hero of the Australian country music scene for years. After a triumphant showing at the 2024 Tamworth Country Music Festival, where he won Album of the Year and two Golden Guitars, Duncan's music is finally getting the attention it deserves! His debut album, 'Steel on Steel,' featuring 12 heartfelt songs, has captivated the Australian country scene, and his hit single 'Run' is just the beginning.
THE SUNDAY NIGHT
Hein Cooper & Ben Morgan
(Indie / Folk / Pop / Singer-Songwriter)
To celebrate the release of their new song 'Hanging On the Wind', Cooper and Morgan are joining forces with a string of dates across the country. After performing across Europe and French Canada throughout 2023 the two developed a strong bond for music given their folk backgrounds and are thrilled to be heading out across the homeland with some intimate venues and collaborations. Join us for one (or more) wonderful nights of live music @Tea By The Brook
