Getting children school ready

Northern Beaches Council offers quality, affordable pre-school programs in line with the Early Years Learning Framework. Choose a two or three day program, children really enjoy the experience.

Pre-school hours

Our pre-schools operate from 8.15am to 3.45pm Monday to Friday during the NSW public school terms.

Cost

Fees vary depending on the child's age and whether families claim Start Strong funding at the service.  Please see our Fees and Charges Booklet for specific costs.

Enrolling your child in pre-school

Catering for 3-5 year olds, preference is given to children starting school the following year and based on the application date. Places are then offered to younger applicants also on a first applied-first choice basis. With limited places, it’s worthwhile putting your children on Council’s pre-school waitlist as soon as possible.
