Located in the heart of Manly Cove, the Manly Art Gallery & Museum (MAG&M) presents innovative and creative cultural programs alongside its extensive collections of Australian visual art and beach ephemera.
Established in 1930, MAG&M is the oldest metropolitan regional gallery in NSW and the centre for the visual arts on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. You can find us on West Esplanade Reserve, Manly - a picturesque 4 minute walk from Manly Wharf.

School excursions
Connect with art, history and ideas through MAG&M’s learning tour program for primary and secondary students. Led by experienced Gallery educators, these tours provide students the opportunity to engage face to face with our collection and temporary exhibitions. Our education resources connect with curriculum outcomes.

MAG&M Design Shop
The MAG&M Design Shop exclusively features local artists and makers, stocking unique gifts, cards, homewares, jewellery, books and one-off artist pieces. All proceeds support the MAG&M collection and programming.
Access information
- There is one dedicated accessible parking space, located along the service road, accessed via West Esplanade, Manly. Due to building works for the Manly Sea Life Sanctuary effecting the service road please get in touch prior to your visit so that we can arrange access for you’
- Our entrance and ground level exhibitions are wheelchair accessible, however our ceramics collection is located on our annex which can be reached via a set of eight stairs.
- We have a wheelchair accessible toilet, and a wheelchair for use within MAG&M.
- Assistance animals are welcome.
