Northern Composure is the largest and longest-running youth band competition in the area. It offers musicians local exposure as well as invaluable stage experience. Bands compete in heats, semi finals and the grand final to battle it out for huge prizes and their chance to perform in front of a panel of industry experts.

In 2024, 4 bands battled it out at the Semi Finals, with Astrovan the successor. The judges selected the winning band through 5 criteria: musicianship, originality, stage presence, youth audience appeal and overall conduct.
Platinum winner: Astrovan

Emerging artist of the year: Overnight Lows
2023

2020
In 2020, 15 bands battled it out in the Northern Composure Band Competition at 3 heats held across the Northern Beaches and 2 finals nights held at Glen Street Theatre.
