Short for ‘magazine’ or ‘fanzine’, zines are small-circulation, self-published books or magazines. Zines can take many different forms, including comic strips, pocket books, textless images or magazines. Historically, zines have been a way for marginalised groups or individuals to express themselves outside of the confines of traditional publishing.
